The paper presents a large overview on the different technologies available for the use of the geothermal energy, as well as their combination with classical technologies (CHP) in view of reaching the best possible primary energy efficiency for refurbished buildings. The case studies within the paper provide information on technical andeconomic aspects. The paper also highlights several important administration and financial issues that must be dealt with in order to facilitate a wider spread of the geothermal energy use.

În lucrare s-a analizat cheltuelile specifice pentru încălzirea aerului de ventilare în clădiri civile, cu utilizarea diferitor surse de energie. Efectuand calculul perioadei de recuperare a schimbătoarelor de căldură cu plăci, în functie de debit de aer al instalatiei de ventilare, de numărul de ore al functionării sistemei de ventilare, de sursa de alimentare cu căldură, de prețul recuperatorului, s-a analizat oportunitatea utilizării recuperatoarelor de căldură.

In the work were analyzed the specific expenses for heating of the airventilation in civil buildings, using different energy sources. Performing the calculations of the recovery period of plate heat exchangers, that depends of the air flow ventilation system, of the number of hours functioning ventilation, of the unit price recovery, of the power source has been analyzed the opportunity of the using the heat recovery system.

Lucrarea prezintă un recuperator de căldură cu tuburi termice de conceptie originală, proiectat pentru prepararea apei calde, utilizând ca agent primar gazele evacuate rezultate din diferite procese de ardere. Recuperatorul de căldură beneficiazăde multiple avantaje, dintre care un cost redus pentru realizare, exploatare şi mentenantă precum şi uşurinta instalării şi utilizării.

The present paper presents a heat pipe heat exchanger originally designed for the hot water preparation using as a primary agent the hot exhaust gases of a burning process. The proposed device has a lot of advantages as low cost of manufacturing, exploitation and maintenance and it is very easy to install and use.

Dezvoltarea sistemelor energetice mici si medii consumatoare de peleti a dus la extinderea tipologiei peletilor către domeniul reziduurilor de tip celulozic cum ar fi : paie, sâmburi de măsline, coji de seminte etc. Utilizarea acestora este deosebit de avantajoasă din punct de vedere energetic şi aduce suplimentar o serie de avantaje pe plan ecologic. Trebuie acordată o atentie sporită particularitătilor ce derivă din compozitia specifică a acestor combustibili alternativi. Diferentele apar în ceea ce priveşte aspectul energetic al functionării (randament şi sarcină termică nominală) şi în ceea ce priveşte aspectele functionale (limite şi conditii de reglaj). Lucrarea prezintă o analiză a trecerii unui cazan de la functionarea cu peleti din rumeguş la functionarea cu peleti din reziduuri de la prelucrarea maslinelor (PRPM).

The development of small and medium-sized energy systems consuming pellets resulted in extending the field of pellets typology to cellulosic residues such as straw, olive stones, seeds, shells, etc. Their use is particularly advantageous in terms of cheap energy and by it’s ecological aspects. Special attention should be paid to particularities arising from the specific composition of these alternative fuels. Differences targets operating conditions such as efficiency, nominal thermal output and special requirements for functioning and maintenance. This paper analysis the transition of the operation of a boiler from sawdust pellets to pellets of residues from the processing of olives (PRPM).

O etapă importantă în cadrul activitătii de proiectare a instalatiilor sanitare o constituie alegerea şi dimensionarea echipamentelor pentru producerea apei calde menajere. In prezent, marea majoritate a proiectantilor folosesc metode care în general sunt concepute pentru clădiri mari sau pentru ansambluri de clădiri. De asemenea aceste metode de dimensionare sunt în mod evident dependente de echipamentele existente pe piată la acea vreme. Acestea sunt motivele pentru care aplicarea lor în proiectarea actuala se face uneori cu rezultate îndoielnice şi poate conduce la supradimensionarea instalatiilor cu repercusiuni imediate în creşterea valorii de investitie sau a consumurilor energetice. Autorii acestui articol îşi propun identificarea aspectelor şi fenomenelor care apar în astfel de instalatii şi care nu sunt considerate în metodologia actualăde proiectare şi dimensionare. Articolul prezintă şi o serie întreagă de perspective şi directii ulterioare de cercetare, fiind evidentă necesitatea de dezvoltare a acestor metode şi implementarea lor în cadrul normativelor şi standardelor de proiectare.

A very important step in sanitary systems conception is represented by the choice and the dimemsionning of the water heater equipments. Clădirile din panouri mari reprezintă un procent important din fondul existent de locuinte din România, supus în prezent actiunilor de modernizare energetică. Evaluarea cât mai exactă a performantei termice a anvelopei clădirilor are o importantă deosebită în emiterea unor certificate de performantă energetică corecte. La acest tip de clădiri, fatadele se caracterizează printr-un procent mare de punti termice, nu numai în zona îmbinărilor, dar şi în câmp curent – punti termice impuse, în această zonă, de diversele tehnologii de fabricare a panourilor pentru peretii exteriori. Pe baza unui studiu de caz reprezentativ, lucrarea îşi propune să atragă atentia asupra unor aspecte specifice care trebuie avute în vedere la calculul rezistentelor termice corectate.

Large panel buildings represent a huge percent of the residential buildings in Romania, being now under thermal rehabilitation modernization. In order to have as possible correct assesment and certificates of energy performances, it is necessary to evaluate exactly the influence of thermal bridges not only at joints but also in the internal area of the prefabricated panels; their technology has changed during the years in order to decrease their percentage. The paper presents a representative case study, highlighting the relevant aspects which we must have in attentention when the corrected thermal resistances are calculated

A good indoor environmental quality in educational facilities is important for student’s performance, will reduce health problems and absenteeism. Using a detailed experimental campaign we have evaluated the thermal, acoustic, visual comfort and air quality. Air temperature, CO2 levels, relative humidity, sound pressure levels and daylighting illuminance were recorded and analyzed. It was found that the air temperature during winter period is around 21 C while the CO2 levels were in acceptable range of 600÷800 ppm. The background sound pressure levels were also in acceptable range with values below 40 dB(A).During this winter cloudy day the illuminance levels from daylighting were measure to be arround 100 lux. It is concluded that the analyzed building offers an acceptable environment for the students.

Creşterea costului resurselor energetice, degradarea calitătii mediului şi dependenta fată piata externă a purtătorilor de energie reprezintă argumentele esentiale în promovarea politicilor nationale în domeniul eficientei energetice a clădirilor. Lucrarea prezintă obiectivele înaintate prin strategiile şi programele de eficientă energetică precum şi evolutia gradului de protectie termică a clădirilor din Republica Moldova. O sectiune aparte prezintă rezultatele studiilor de caz a performantelor energetice a unor clădiri construite la diverse etape până şi după reabilitarea termoenergetică.

Increasing energy costs, environmental degradation and dependence on foreign markets of energy carriers is essential arguments in promoting national policies on energy efficiency of buildings. This paper presents the objectives put forward by energy efficiency strategies and programs and the evolution of the thermal protection of buildings in Republic of Moldova. A special section presents the results of case studies energy performance of buildings constructed at various stages before and after energy rehabilitation.

Desiccant cooling systems are an alternative to classical air conditioners with mechanical compression. This technique is refrigerant free and uses a small amount of electricity. A model of a desiccant wheel has been developed to be adapted to ventilation systems of buildings. This model is focused on pollutant adsorption by desiccant material compared to many other studies found in the literature which are interested in only water vapor adsorption. It’s an approach that can be applied in heavily polluted urban areas,where there are high levels of outdoor concentrations. The model describes heat and mass transfer partial differential equations, implemented in Matlab/Simulink simulation tool. A multicomponent model accounting for the competition between water vapor and pollutant is used in the simulations.

Prezenta lucrare ilustrează un studiu comparativ între două sisteme de producere a energiei electrice: clasic şi neconventional. Studiul se concentrează asupra analizei tehnico – economice pentru cele două sisteme analizate şi care au rolul de a asigura energia electrica pentru o locuintă unifamilială. Necesitatea acestui studiu se impune, în contextul în care, utilizarea surselor neconventionale de energie prin tehnologiile actuale se realizează – este adevărat - într-un ritm foarte alert dar, cu investitii initiale foarte mari.

This paper illustrates a comparative study between two power generation systems: classical and unconventional. The study focuses on technical - economic analysis of the two systems which are designed to provide electricity for a single-family residence. The need for this study is required, given that the use of unconventional energy sources by current technologies is achieved - it is true - in a very alert rhythm but with very large initial investment.

Articolul abordează posibilitatea de implementare a unui model simplificat de evaluare a gradului de satisfacere a confortului termic în clădirile de locuit pe perioada rece a anului, în care sistemul emisiv radiant este actionat la cerere, folosind metoda multicriterială bazată pe indicii temperatura operativă respectiv temperatura superficială în zona de incidență a punților termice. Studiului constă în urmărirea comportării parametrilor confortului termic functie de gradul de izolare termică şi propune un cadru decizional prin care să se evalueze ușor caracteristica unui ambient plăcut și sănătos pentru ocupanți, în condițiile în care se pot elimina factorii ce conduc la apariția sindromului clădirilor bolnave.

This article synthesize the possibility of implementing a simplified model to assess users thermal comfort satisfaction in residential buildings, during the cold season, considering on demand usage of radiant heating system, using the operative temperature and surface interior temperature index for evaluation. This study aims to estimate thermal comfort parameters depending on thermal insulation and proposes a frameworkto assess the decision to configure a pleasant and healthy environment for occupants, following the principle to avoid factors that lead to sick building syndrome.

Passive houses are energy efficient constructions that are considered a good way towards a sustainable and non-polluting environment. Their impact on the energy consumption has been discussed numerous times, therefore this article targets the thermal comfort analysis during the summer period. A passive house called SES ECO was used for a detailed computer modeling and numerical analysis. This house was divided into thermal zones with different occupancy scenarios, heat gains and temperature set points. The operative temperature inside these zones was thereafter studied using dynamic simulations using the Bucharest weather data. It was found that by using a ground heat exchanger for fresh air introduction or an increased ventilation rate during night time the overheating was 9% from the total year period or 25% from the entire summer season. Despite the high outdoor temperatures, with values up to 35oC, the indoor operative temperature was lower than 28 and only for a small period of time a cooling system would have been necessary.

The paper presents an analysis of the green certificates market evolution in Romania and the way that investments in renewable energy sources were influenced by the promoting system by using green certificates. Modernizarea functională a unui hotel presupune îmbunătătirea confortului şi a calitătii serviciilor, dar nu numai atât. Modernizarea trebuie să urmărească şi creşterea eficientei energetice a clădirii şi instalatiilor aferente, aspect uneori neglijat. În lucrarea de fată se evidentiază performantele energetice ale unui hotel modernizat, indicându-se, totodată, o serie de măsuri rezultate în urma realizării auditului energetic, măsuri care vor conduce la reducerea consumurilor energetice şi implicit a cheltuielilor de exploatare.

The functional upgrading of a hotel assumes not only the improvement of the comfort and services quality, but also other aspects. The upgrading and refurbishment works must have also in view to increase the energy efficiency of the building and its installations, aspect which is neglected sometimes.The present paper highlights the energy performances of an upgraded hotel, pointing out the measures resulted from the energy audit, measures which will lead to the reduction of the energy consumptions and implicitly to the operation costs.

În contextul actual al încălzirii globale, mediul construit este supus unei transformări majore, cu accentul pus pe eficienta energetică. Prima parte a lucrării studiază comparativ trei generatii de case din Romania, specifice unor diferite mentalităti umane de relationare cu mediul natural. Partea a doua realizează o paralelă între diferite moduri umane de „aşezare” şi relatia constructie – mediu natural. Studiul evidentiază faptul că dezvoltarea durabilă nu este doar un răspuns la problema încălzirii globale, ci şi o rezultantă a unei relationări om-natură tot mai sinergice, fapt deosebit de important pentru alegerea directiilor de dezvoltare ulterioare.

In the present context of global warming, the built environment is subject to a major transformation, with the focus on energy efficiency. The first part of the paper studies three generations of houses in Romania, specific to different human mentalities of relating to the environment.The second part makes links different human types of habitation with the construction – natural environment relation. The study shows that the sustainable development is not only the answer to the problem of global warming, but also to a more and more synergistichuman-nature relation, very important fact in choosing future development directions.

Prezentul studiu privind implementarea unui sistem de management al calitătii la nivelul unei societăti comerciale din domeniul constructiilor prezintă argumentele şi cerintele pentru aplicarea cu succes a unui asemenea sistem de management tinând cont de particularitătile şi specificitătile activitătilor din domeniul constructiilor. După prezentarea particularitătilor proceselor şi tehnologiilor din domeniul constructiilor şi a elementelor de bază privind asigurarea calitătii în constructii prin control şi verificare sunt analizate şi sintetizate cerintele necesare implementării cu succes a unui sistem de management al calitătii în constructii. Bazat pe rezultatele obtinute de firme de constructii de succes, pe informatii din literatura de specialitate precum şi pe experienta profesională în domeniu, în finalul aticolului, sunt prezentate o serie de concluzii care pot constitui adevărate reguli care conduc la succesul pe piată a unei firme de constructii daca managerii şi angajatii acesteia respectă şi cred în efectele favorabile ale acestora asupra succesului şi dezvoltării firmei.

This study on the implementation of a quality management system in the construction of a company of the arguments and the requirements for successful implementation of such a management system taking into account the particularities and specificities of construction activity. After presenting features of processes and technologies in the construction and the basic elements of quality assurance in construction by monitoring and verification requirements are analyzed and summarized the successful implementation of a quality management system in construction. Based on the results of successful construction companies on information from the literature and professional experience in the field, at the end of the FAQ article are presented some conclusions that may be true rules that lead to market success of firms construction if managers and employees respect and believe in their positive effects on the success and development company.
